Giving to the Foundation
The St. James Place Foundation, a separate 501 (c) 3, non-profit organization, was created in 1995 to compliment and enhance life at St. James Place Retirement Community.
Why Give to St. James Place Foundation?
Funds raised for the Foundation can be designated as restricted or unrestricted.
- Restricted funds provide support to the Residency Endowment Fund. Providing financial assistance to residents, who through no fault of their own have outlived their financial resources, this fund affords residents the opportunity to continue to live at St. James Place. Residents retain their dignity and privacy since assistance is given with complete confidentiality. Residents and families who have been affected have been deeply gratified that the resident has been able to remain in the community.
- Unrestricted funds are used to purchase capital items that provide benefit to residents. St. James Place Foundation supports St. James Place in its quest to position itself as one of the top continuing care retirement communities (CCRC) in Louisiana. The ongoing introduction of the latest programs enhances the lives of residents, maximizes their independence, and sustains physical, mental and cognitive health as long as possible. The Foundation, through the extraordinary generosity of its donors, can provide these special programs and campus improvements that would not be possible through the normal budgeting process.
Donations can be made as monthly or one-time gifts and gifts in honor or memory of friends or family.Your secure online contribution provides support for our facilities and programs.
Donations can also be made by purchasing a tile on the Duplantier Oak Walk to create an everlasting reminder of a special life event.
Naming Opportunities at St. James Place provide a respectful way to honor a family name, a business, the good works of an individual or the memory of a loved one. Funds raised from naming opportunities will be distributed equally between the Residency Endowment Fund and the Capital Spenddown Fund. For more information on naming opportunities, contact our Director of Development at 225-215-4635.
