Yvette Brunson

Yvette joined the St James Place team in October 2020, and has over 25 years of experience in full cycle Accounting. As the Director of Accounting, Yvette is responsible for managing the Finance Department team, overseeing the general accounting and financial reporting (including general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and budgeting). She is also responsible for maintaining internal controls and ensuring that all financial reporting is prepared in compliance with the company’s financial policies and in accordance with GAAP.

After receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Phoenix, Yvette spent many years managing small credit unions in the Baton Rouge and Ascension Parish areas before moving to private industry. Yvette was grateful for the opportunity to return to the non-profit sector and loves serving the St James Place community. Yvette is a native and lifelong resident of Ascension Parish and is a member of the East Ascension Rotary, Ascension Parish Master Gardeners, and the Healthcare Financial Management Association. In 2023, Yvette became a Notary Public and is looking forward to offering this service to the St. James Place community.
